Aquarius – Kumbha “pitcher” Rasi

“Kumbha is a jar holding man, deep brown in complexion, medium bodied, two-footed, vigorous during day, standing in the middle of water, airy, front rising, Tamasic, a Sudra, abiding in the western region and lorded by the son of the Sun.”

Saturn expresses his male side through fixed Air in the Sign of Aquarius. Ruling planet Saturn is the lord of the 1^st house and the 12^th house giving the Aquarians an inherently humble nature and weak self-image. It is natural for Aquarians to be aligned with causes and ideas much bigger than themselves. They will naturally work hard to advance the universal principles of brotherhood and fairness due to this self-negating mindset. But personally, this selfless mindset can land Aquarians in relationships where they are not equal to their partners, but are serving them. Earth – Capricorn seeks to follow a consistent and practical path.

Moveable – Capricorn will prefer the challenge of starting new things rather than perfecting the things they have already started or being flexible enough to do either one.

Female – is negatively charged sign – given to reflection and the internal process

Tamas – Capricorn is primarily motivated by the possibility of preventing or removing difficulty. 

Saturn reflects upon itself through his female side in a Moveable Earth Sign through Capricorn. A determined and practical course through life is seen here. Saturn is largely a fear-based planet and through Capricorn will be motivated by Tamas, ever aware of troubles to be averted, prevented or overcome. Saturn will also generally make for conservative values and a preference for what is useful which allows them to navigate the details of life and avoid trouble.
