The Vedic Chart
|

|
|
The chart above shows the South Indian
Chart. In this chart the signs are always in the same
position. Pisces is in the Upper left, followed clockwise by
Aries, then Taurus, etc. This chart clearly reveals how the
signs of Vedic Astrology encircle the earth, transmitting
energy from the Galactic Center. These deep Cosmic forces are
the primeval qualities, existent since time immemorial. They
are our deepest and most profound of connections. Each day
with every rotation of the Earth, we reconnect to these
forces. Living in harmony with them and perhaps helping others
to do so as well is the reason we have Vedic Astrology. |

The diagonal line marks the ascendant. It
shows which sign was rising on the eastern horizon when
the native was born. Houses in a chart are counted inclusive
from the ascendant. In this case the native is an Aries, as
this box denotes the sign of Aries. Taurus is the 2nd
house, Gemini the third, etc
|
Regardless of where the line falls (which
sign) the houses are counted inclusively from that point. At
the time of Birth. This is the Chart of A Leo. Virgo is the
second house, Libra the third, etc. These two charts could be
from 2 people born on the same day at the same time, yet in
different parts of the world.
