Testimonials about Podcasts
I've been listening to your podcasts for a couple months now  and am very thankful for your service to really, the world.

Is there a chance you'll be at Burning Man this year? I'm  casting out lines for spiritual contact at this year's event  hoping I may learn some
valuable lessons. My intentions have led me to ask the wisest  people I know, or know of, to see if they'll be at Burning Man.  If you won't make
it this year, can you recommend people I should talk to? I am a  Zen Buddhist practitioner, and am interested in Science and  Technology. I'm
also an artist (my day & night job)

thanks,

I checked out your website, and what a wonderful and charitable service you are offering the public in more ways than one.? I can see it is so strongly your calling.?  I will keep you in mind for  referral readings for my clients as well as for myself and  friends, etc.? We'll be moving to NorCal in Jan. and will be interested in hosting a lecture for you at our center once we're established.

Mr. Geppi,

I discovered your "Moment of Yoga" podcast a couple week ago,  and have been listening and trying to get caught up (I'm still only in mid-April). I'm very grateful that you put them out there for free, and I also appreciate the free resources on your yoga site.

I'm about to be a sophomore at Swarthmore in PA, and I've  recently become very interested in Hinduism and yoga--not so much the physical exercise part (hatha yoga?) that's trendy right now, but forms more focused on spiritual development. Your podcasts have been educational and helpful for me, and I would love to find a way to pursue these things in more depth.

I was wondering if you have any advice for ways that I could  pursue this spiritual tug in the direction of yoga that I'm feeling given my situation. I attend Quaker meetings weekly so it's not as if my life is a spiritual void, but I've heard many say that if I want to pursue a yogic form of spirituality, reading about it is not enough.

I also have a quick question regarding Vedic astrology that is  more one of curiosity than anything. In your podcasts you do such a good job of explaining how Westerners take the Hindu deities more literally than they should. I have always been skeptical about astrology, but this may be because I've only been exposed to a very literal Western interpretation of astrology. I'm wondering how Vedic astrology differs; I hope that doesn't come across as belittling, my guess is that I am simply using the wrong [ie Western literal] lens here, and
was wondering how you get around that (you sound American, so  I'm perhaps unfairly making the assumption that you grew up with the same Western/literal/Xian thought-influenced societal view that I did).

Thank you so much for your time, thank you again for the  resources you make available.

Sam,

I wanted to write to you and tell you thank you -- for many  things, but mostly for the 'Moment of Yoga' podcasts which I very much enjoy. (Recently I also started listening to your daily horoscopes and find
them to also be interesting and informative.)

Most of my life I've been fascinated and inspired by Indian  (e.g. Vedic) culture (not to mention cuisine!) and been fortunate enough in this life to even travel in India in addition to much reading and studying, many years of vegetarianism, and my best attempts at keeping an active Hatha-Yoga practice in my life.

That said, I've always found it rather difficult to  differentiate and particularly to describe to others (as well as just to understand) much of the Hindu pantheon and belief-systems and would like to say your story-telling has made it more clear as well as even more enjoyable for
me. Your down-to-earth, humble, yet knowledgeable and very  personable podcasts have enriched many a walk in the neighborhood, evenings or mornings on my balcony, and the resulting conversations with close others who also follow your related adventures and explanations.

I'll keep this short as I expect you are very busy and probably  receive a lot of mail and responses to your many projects and  offerings, but I mainly just wanted to say thank you for helping keep alive a spiritual interest and awareness in me-- and certainly in many, many others also!

Namaste-

I found your podcast a couple of days after you started it and  would like to thank you for your wonderful work! A moment of yoga has become part of my day and I wouldn't want to miss it. I have been practicing Ashtanga Yoga for a while, but
haven't gotten to read as much about the vedas and deities as I would like to yet.
Listening to your podcast helps me understand better and makes  me want to engross my knowledge of hinduism!

So, thank you very much! Dhanyabad!

With warm regards from Berlin/Germany,

Hello Sam,

My name is Vinod C... I am originally from India,  currently residing in Columbus, Ohio.

I was browsing through the podcasts and came across 'A Moment  Of Yoga' It was interesting and impressive to hear you talk  about the festivals of India with respect to the Deties. I  practise yoga. India is a big country and the most fascinating  thing is how the same deity means so many different things to  different people and then again if you seek deeper, there is a  simple true non-conflicting meaning in the very existence of  each diety.

It will be great to be friends with you.

Have a good evening

vinod
